Names, pages, and accounts
These Terms treat three things separately. The account is a person's container — who you are, the names you hold, the credits you keep. The username is the address: the collectible. The page is an asset attached to that username — its bio, links, badges, soundtrack and history. Where we say "owned", we mean ownership recognized by blood.bid's records, not legal property rights in the ordinary sense. An account can hold usernames, but it does not own the page configuration independently of the username it is attached to.
A username carries its history, not its page
A bio username carries more than a name: its badges, its followers and its view record stay with the handle. Its page contents do not change hands — when a username is sold, auctioned, transferred or given away, the page is reset to the default template for the new holder: theme, layout, links, bio text, media, soundtrack, sections and display name are cleared. This keeps a buyer from inheriting content they did not choose, and is why a name's accumulated design does not add to its sale price.
The name rides on; the person stays
What rides along with a name is its history — badges, followers and views. What doesn't transfer is the previous holder's page content or account-level identity: personal information, account settings, credit balance, purchase and bidding history, inbox alerts and follows stay with the account that holds them. A buyer receives the handle and its history, not the previous owner's life on it.
Usernames move through us
Usernames change hands only through blood.bid's auction and transfer systems. That record is final: we don't recognize off-site agreements about a name, and the transfer as recorded on blood.bid is the record that counts.
Your account is yours
Buying, selling or trading accounts is not governed by blood.bid. It is not prohibited, and it is not something we mediate — it happens entirely outside our control.
- We do not facilitate, guarantee, refund or arbitrate account purchases made between users.
- Off-platform transfer of an account does not itself transfer ownership of any username under these Terms. Names still move only through blood.bid's systems.
- If an account changes hands, whoever controls it is responsible for complying with these Terms.
Credits
Credits are blood.bid's in-service currency. They can be purchased, earned or transferred through the features we provide, and can be used for username claims, auctions and other purchases on the service.
Credits are not legal tender, deposits, securities or a promise of cash value. Unless we explicitly provide otherwise, they cannot be redeemed for cash.
We may correct balances, reverse fraudulent transactions, or remove credits obtained through abuse of the service.
What you can publish
Keep it yours. You retain the rights you have in everything you publish under your names, and you're responsible for what you put there. Content that is illegal, abusing the auction process, or misrepresenting another person or name is not allowed.
Availability
We run the service as it is, with real humans on the other end. Response times vary, and features can change. We don't owe you a working copy of anything a name displayed before it changed hands.
Termination
We can remove a username from circulation or suspend an account in order to keep the floor fair — including for interference with auctions, threats to the service, or legal requirements.
Who runs blood.bid
blood.bid is operated by the operator of blood.bid. You can reach us through the support desk — we'll identify ourselves to any individual or authority we're legally required to, on request or on service of process.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of a province in Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of that province have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of the service. Where a consumer statute where you live grants rights these Terms can't waive, those rights are preserved.
Disputes, small
If something goes wrong, talk to us before you escalate — most disagreements about a transfer, a refund or a marketplace mechanic are a support ticket and a half-hour of patience away from settled. Where a legal dispute does arise, it's resolved under Governing law.
What you own, what we own
You keep whatever rights you hold in the content you publish — text, links, badges, avatars, and the soundtracks on your pages. blood.bid owns the service itself: its code, design, branding, and the systems those pages run on. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that to you, and vice versa.
Usernames are addresses, not intellectual property. Holding a username doesn't give you a trademark or other exclusive IP right in that string — it gives you the record that marks the name yours on blood.bid, under Names, pages, and accounts.
Copyright and trademarks
Don't use the service to violate someone's copyright or trademarks. If you believe something on blood.bid infringes your rights — or wrongfully trades on your name or mark — send us an infringement notice with enough detail for us to act on it: the work or mark claimed, the bade page URL it appears on, and a way to reach you. See the Copyright notice for the exact procedure and our contact. On a valid notice we remove or disable the material, and we handle counter-notices and repeat offenders the same way.
Liability
Credit balances, listing history and auction records are written to the ledger and we keep them accurate, but the service runs as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, blood.bid isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim arising from the service is capped at the greater of what you paid blood.bid in the six months before the claim or CA$50. Nothing here limits rights you have that we can't waive by law.
Changes
We may update these Terms. What you already have stays under the terms in force when you got it; ongoing use of the service follows the current version. We'll flag a date change at the top of this page.
